bogas.io requires no account, sets no advertising cookies and uses no audience measurement tool. Your language choice is kept in your browser; our servers neither read nor keep it. The technical logs of our servers and of Cloudflare may contain your IP address: they are used only for security and to keep the site running.
In the Bogas POS service
To provide the service, we process:
- your business data: items, sales, customers, suppliers, staff, accounting. You enter it and remain its owner; we process it on your behalf as a processor, and you are responsible for its processing towards your customers and employees;
- accounts: name, email address and phone number of the owner and managers; employee codes, stored encrypted;
- the log of online back-office and device sign-ins: IP address, country and device type, kept for 400 days for security and fraud prevention;
- if you receive the closing report by email: the email addresses of its recipients, and the report itself, delivered by our email delivery provider;
- if you enable Mobile Money: the necessary payment information, sent to the operator (MTN, Orange); your merchant credentials are stored encrypted.
This data is kept on your devices, to work without Internet, and on our servers, for syncing and backup.
Android and Windows apps
The apps only ask for the permissions the till needs: Bluetooth and local network for printers, camera for barcodes and photos, Downloads to save your exports. They do not collect your location.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. Only our service providers access it, to run the service: Oracle (hosting), Cloudflare (network), our email delivery provider (closing reports) and, if you enable it, your Mobile Money operator.
Hosting and transfers
Our servers are located in Frankfurt (Germany) and traffic goes through the Cloudflare network: your data may therefore be transferred outside Cameroon, with appropriate security safeguards.
Retention
Your business data is kept during your subscription, then deleted after the contract ends, unless the law requires keeping it (for example for accounting). The sign-in log is kept for 400 days.
Security
Encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted employee codes, role-based access, a log of sensitive actions and regular backups.
Your rights
Under Cameroon law no. 2024/017 on the protection of personal data and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation, you can access, correct and delete your data, object to its processing and ask for its portability.
